Prayer

Why Pray?

To pray is to step into the life of God and to listen to his heart. Prayer is one of the central callings for all Christians. If we pray then things will start to change and we will see God at work. But throughout this year we will be specifically praying to see what God wants us to do in mission at St Paul’s and in Shadwell.

Who is it for?

Everyone – no exceptions! If you’re a follower of Jesus then we all need to get involved and seek God’s will for St Paul’s and our wider community.

Sacred Space

Every month we’re going to be holding a prayer gathering in church. We’re calling it Sacred Space and it is simply an hour once a month to meet together and pray for the mission of St Paul’s and the wider community in Shadwell. Dates for this year are below:

Monday 7th January at 7.30pm
Monday 4th February at 7.30pm
Tuesday 5th March at 7.30pm
Tuesday 1st April at 7.30pm
Monday 7th May at 7.30pm

Shadwell Prayer Walks

Throughout the year there will also be prayer walks around the village to pray for our community. Our dates for prayer walks are:

Thursday 21st February at 7.30pm
Thursday 21st March at 7.30pm
Thursday 19th April at 11.30am (Good Friday Walk)
Thursday 16th May at 7.30pm

If you would like us to pray for you then please email: vicar@stpaulsshadwell.org.uk for us to add you to our prayer list.
